A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart.

It's so nice, here, in the land of the evergreens you don't find much red, but you do see a lot of gold, more subduds, but pretty in it's own way

Nice, she says as she looks out her kitchen window at a cherry tree with golden leaves. King Midas comes to mind.

At this point in time, our "Liquidambar" is shedding one leaf at the time, it so pretty so see the leaves floating down. -

The virginia creeper starts the color change. Love that red. We have a lot of yellow around with all the maples, but the dogwoods are red and we have had a bit of an influx of some trees which are red compliments of the birds. Unfortunately we have some red and orange with the darn invasion of sumac. The poison ivy always lets me know where it is trying to invade the hedgerow too with it's early reds.

It all does my heart good. Love both quotes.
