Said the Sun to the Moon -'When you
are but a lonely white crown,
And I, a dead King in my golden armor
somewhere in a dark wood,
Remember only this of our hopeless love:
That never till Time is done
Will the fire of the heart and the fire of
the mind be one.'

Heart and Mind by Edith Sitwell

It was after lunch today before I realized I've dated the last 2 days wrong. :)

Are you finding all these wonderful poems in a single collection? They are so haunting..and beautiful.

No. I LOVE to read and have a weakness for poetry. My children are grown and moved out and unfortunately, that saying that "opposites attract" is true. My hubby of 29 years cares for neither. So, I am truly enjoying the opportunity to share some of my favorite verses with all of you this week. I beg everyone's indulgence.
I've picked up old poetry collection books at Friends of the Library sales over the years, as well as checking out volumes, and reading on line. I try to read some every morning and whatever catches my eye, mind, and heart, gets shared. :)

Good poems, this one is exceptional. You may enjoy this site, it has been in my bookmarks for some years now and shared with me by a friend on GW.

Here is a link that might be useful: The Wondering Minstrels
