I've never thought about the word "hope' before.
Something new.
I remember when I was young and had to take two buses to work. I hoped the first bus would be on time so I could catch my second bus. Then I hoped the second bus would be late, so I could catch it. And it was not a darn thing I could do about anything. Just hoping.

Is anything in our thoughts used as much as hope? There might be the big things one hopes for and those we notice. It's something else with the thousand little things one hopes for: that it rains, that it don't, that the traffic is good, the telephon is ringing, that your new recipe meets with approvall, etc. etc., and that my mammograph comes back clear.
