No doubt. Thomas Edison said he didn't fail however-many times to invent a light bulb, (before he did succeed,) he discovered however-many ways to NOT make one.

Without an occasional crappy day, we might forget how good most of them are.

Bad examples are necessary.

This reminds me of the Berenstain Bears book where the Dad is going to teach his son how to ride a bike but it keeps going wrong. "This is what you should not do."
