Someone asked me if I could clear up whether the 1947 biker Rally really destroyed Hollister or not, and I thought no, but maybe Lilo. Were you there then? Maybe? And for anyone who doesn't know, The Wild One with Marlon Brando is based on this incident.

Lived where, Rob? Not anywhere near Hollister, and in 1947 I was still in Germany. I have lived here, in Long Valley, since 1984 and yes, The Redwood Run passes through town each June, they ride Harleys, wear expensive leathers and are mostly portly and middle-aged. Maybe some have been wild ones way past then, but they certainly have outgrown that.
Why don't you Google Hollister and the outlaw gangs, maybe you get a better answer.

I wasn't sure if you left during the war or not. Google won't give a definitive answer, only those there would know. :) Heck, you never know until you ask! I wouldn't have even guessed you only lived there since 1984. I guess I just picture you in rolling hills, serene and gardening and that you have always been there.
