The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal with, but whether it is the same problem you had last year.
John Foster Dulles

Why do you hasten to remove anything which hurts your eye, while if something affects your soul you postpone the cure until next year?

If you want to test your memory, try to recall what you were worrying about one year ago today.

Good ones for the "between" time, worry is counter-productive, it's best to breathe and re-charge ones' batteries and set priorities.

RE: Quote 12-26-13

I remember John Foster Dulles from my years in DC. His name was everywhere and he was a star with both parties. As I recall, he did not worry about next year, he created new avenues to solve problems, then moved on to something else.
Thanks for the quotes, Don.
