| What a memory from around 1941 - 46. I actually used to do that when my uncle picked us up on the second Christmas holiday (yes, in Germany we have 2 days) and brought us to grandfather's farm !Depending on the weather, with the carriage or the sled. Private vehicles at that time where not allowed due to gasoline and tire shortage. Thanks. |

| I have pretty much the same memories as you have, anneliese. When I visited my aunt's farm, we had a horse drawn carriage or sled, depending on the season. |
