Some of you may remember the advent calendar from the past.
Made of cardboard with a pretty picture and numbers on the front. When you open a flap a surprise is inside.
Our family decided to make one for the net. Everyone contributed something, either graphics or music. DGS (age8) plays piano and DD sings. It was a fun project.
Sorry, no chocolate in this one.

What a charming, creative reminder. I do remember Advent Calendars and how exited we got as more and more window opened until THE DAY arrived.
Hope we can keep this one up in position, I do enjoy the little musical surprises.

I am looking forward to the musical ones. Don't get me wrong, the pictures are fantastic. I just love music!

I also remember the advent calendar. When I made my searches, they led me mostly to to pages from Europe. No wonder, it seems to have started in Germany
The advent calendars have taken on a new life here in the US and on the net.
Rob, sorry if you can't hear the music. every single day has a pic and music. I tested the page 3 times on IE, just to make sure it works ok.

IE? What about Firefox? I haven't tried there. Tomorrow! Can't wait for the whole experience!

rob, Firefox used to be my goto browser, but they are in a total free fall these days. Check it out on IE.

Love your idea and the pictures. I lost my sound, have to get new speaker.

My younger son visited today, first his father then picked me up there and brought me home. He brought the tree from storage and set it up and we both went through about 20 old calenders which I had saved. That was fun, trying to remember from what year it was and from where. We always had to have two different ones for each one of the boys.

I used IE yesterday. Firefox today. I've activated QuickTime, turned off AdBlock... still can't hear it. Darn it. I'll just have to use my imagination. I am really enjoying the pictures!!!

#4 is very nice - actually should have been #6, because that is Saint Nicholas Day in Germany, when he visits good children and leaved sweets and little gifts, coal for the bad ones.

Thanks for the suggestion, lilo.We moved #4 to #6.
If you or anyone have other suggestions, please let me know.
BTW, #4 now #6 is the one where DGS plays the piano and DD sings.

rob, I've been trying to figure out why you are not able to hear the music.
All the music is in mp3 format. Do you have a mp3 player installed?

Honestly, I had no sound when I came into work Monday (had been out since November 14). I had to do a system restore. Got it back, but maybe that's affecting it. I hadn't thought of that. Loved today's! Really had to look for it, but that's just me. Too early
