I am so lucky I don't have to rake leaves, they blow with the wind and enrich the soil wherever they end up.
What does the city do with them? Do they have a composting facility or do they just add them to the land-fill?

Unless two of my oaks decide to shed their last leaves before April, I have brought the last tarp full of leaves out to the street. The city is late in picking up this year and I managed to get everything raked. Kept count how many large tarps I pulled out - 63, all oak with maybe one tarp total of forsythia and dogwood. Now I can hybernate.

The city has a composting site, they also pick up twice a year (used to be monthly) brush and tree limbs, shred it and use it for mulch.

By the way, I rather hibernate; one of those days I check my postings.

Oh yes, our trees have shed most of their leaves. Our naval orange tree have a couple of months to ripen the oranges, then the new blossoms appear and the cycle starts again.
Nature is wonderful.
