A poem: Earth Air Fire and Water

I posted this on a challenge, where you have to write on a theme.
It was so appropriate because I just had been enduring this situation:
Second Week of December

Earth, hard and dry
Her children thirsty
All suffer

Cold wind blows
Ice rain covers land
Lays frozen blanket

Sun, fiery orb
Lights winter sky
Gently warming

Ice into water
Running downhill
making puddles

Love it, so descriptive, especially the feeling behind it.

Hits all of my senses at one. A hallmark of good poetry. Nicely done.

You certainly met the challenge, lilo. Very nice.
Lol, first time I've heard of a poetry challenge.
