Quilt Event- part 1

Yesterday I went with a group to an exhibit of East African quilts. It was a real success! I don't know how many of you are interested in stitchery, but I hope there's something in these photos to appeal to each of you.

Some of the artists were present too. They came from Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe..and more. Some of the artists were unable to come because they were refugees (from Uganda)and not allowed visas. But their friends were at least able to speak about their work.

And so, here are some of my favorites. There were many more too!
