This plant is blooming now and I haven't an idea of what it is. It was given to me by my mother-in-law who is gone now. It is a soft purple, and reseeds everywhere. It grows about 3-4ft. tall.

I have some of these plants in my yard too. They are an absolute menace. They have small, turnip like roots. We dig the patch up every spring, but they keep comeing back. Im not positive, but I believe they are called Adenophora, or commonly known as Ladybells.

i agree with the Adenophora...if it is lillifolia it will spread like crazy..the confusa is well behaved. Campanula family.
