Help identifying flowering plant

I think that I received this by mistake when ordering tall garden phlox. Until recently I thought it was a different type of phlox, but I can't find any pictures of phlox that look like this. The stems and leaves look similar to butterfly bush, but it isn't "bushy" like butterfly bush. It started blooming in spring and is still blooming, the flowering starts lower on the stem and continues to grow up. There is no scent. I am going to try to attach a picture of the entire plant and some closeups of the flowers and stems. I love this plant and would like to order more, if I only knew what it is. My neighbor wants one too!
Instead of uploading the picture, I am including the URL for the photobucket file.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

RE: Help identifying flowering plant

In the Cottage Garden forum someone suggested that it is an invasive weed called purple loosestrife. I didn't want to hear that, but it does look very much have the same appearance. If anyone has any more positive ideas, I'd love to find out it's something better than that!
