| I am new to gardening (and this forum). I would love your suggestions as to how to improve my garden. I had a plan in my head, drew it out and went to work planting it last year. I'm just not happy with it and am continually moving things around and not having much luck. Here is a picture. It's a bed in front of my house that runs the length of my porch. We are leaving the yews so a 'plan' that includes them is what I'm going for. I'd like to move things around and situate them better for a more visually appealing garden. I can afford to buy a couple of plants but would rather use what I have. Your suggestions are MUCH appreciated.

| I should mention what I have planted in there as it's hard to tell aside from the 3 yews in the back. From right to left: Rose bush (straggly, trying to revive, gaining leaves and buds) I'm thinking I need more shrubs. Hydrangeas? Move the gardenia to center front of two yews? I'm so bad at this. :) |

| April, I think you'll get more attention and a better response if you post this elsewhere, like Perennials or Landscape Design. Good luck! I wish I could help, but I'm clueless about such things. |
