Love those grasses! Just gorgeous seedheads. My delphs are also putting on their second show and I just love them.

What is that last yellow flower?

Im going to run down the list of plants and state the names. Im sorry, but I cant name the second-to last cultivar, or the last plant because they are some of my earliest plants, and they were here before I started keeping records of what I planted. The last flower was a division from a friend I mentioned, and I have no name for it. But it is very tall- it reaches my eye level and I am a six foot guy.

1 & 2 – Miscanthus, straight species. Not a cultivar.

3 & 4 Cone flowers of course need no introduction

5. Rudbeckia hirta 'Indian Summer'

6. delphinium, cv?

7. I don’t know, I have never seen it for sale. What I can tell you is that it is not dill. I should put it in the plant id section….

I'm not positive but that last one looks like it could be Wild Parsnip? If it is, be careful. I have read that you do NOT want to touch it. It can cause severe burning rash!

iowa_flower_nut, its not a parsnip because its flowers are not umbrels originating from a single point on the stem.

The plant in the last picture looks like Patrinia scabiosifolia.
