cape honeysuckle

I live on the upper Texas coast and we don't get many hard freezes but do get frosts quiet often. My Cape honeysuckle was in full bloom when we got a hard frost last week and it killed about 2 feet of the outside branches with all the blooms. Should I cut these dead looking branches back? It is supposed to bloom fall through winter. This is why I bought it to have some pretty blooms through the winter months. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
