anybody grow Red Jewel Helenium?

i'm thinking of getting this for my garden this year. does anyone grow it? if so, is the color really towards the blue end of the spectrum, or is it more an orange-red? i've seen photos that show it as having a blue cast, which is what i want, but you know how unreliable color photos can be!

Found this description on Pernell Gerver's website via Google search:

"An exceptional new color for Helenium, also called Helen's flower, this new hybrid features masses of dark-pink flowers blooming from midsummer to early autumn. Flowers have maroon centers encircled in yellow."

Most of the photos on Google show it more pinkish red than orangie red.

If you follow the link below, it describes Red Jewel as dark red with a substantial blue component to the colour.

I have to warn you that 'blue component' in practice means much less garden visibility.

Here is a link that might be useful: Heleniums

thanks to both of you for the info. i think i am going to take the chance on these and get one or two. if the color is "right" -- towards a blue tone in the red as the photo shows, i will be very happy! if, on the other hand, it is not, i will just locate the plants in a better area, colorwise... now to find an online supplier!

Pernell Gerver is selling them. I think the price was $15 for a gallon pot but don't quote me. You might want to check his customer feedback before ordering.
