Anyone tried the new phlox paniculata cultivars 'Valentina' or 'Alexandra'? I was wondering how they were with regard to powdery mildew. Any other comments?

I can't comment on either variety but I can say I grow ALOT of phlox and never have mildew because when I spray my roses for blackspot I also spray my phlox now and then. I spray with Bayer Disease Control and it works great. I looked them both up and they look gorgeous, expecially Alexandra. Take care, Judy

I planted Valentina last year and the powdery mildew was pretty bad. I tried spraying them with milk which helped a little. Also they have been very slow to show new growth this spring so I'm not even sure if they survived. Such a pretty flower, but I have to say I'm disappointed in the plants so far.
