Hybrid baptisia cultivars form seed pods?

I love plain old Baptisia australis, not only for its flowers and plant form, but for its wonderful ornamental (to me) seed pods that sway and pleasantly rattle with the breeze.

I am intrigued by all the new colors found in hybrid baptisias. None of the catalogue descriptions ever includes mention of the seed pods. Do these newer baptisias form seed pods, or are they sterile?

Thanks,
Ispahan

All of mine have the pods. I like them too.

I am going to hunt a few down this year too. As Ech noted, they will set seed as normal, but i don't believe they won't come true from see like most hybrids. It will be just a genetic mix up as to what you end up with.

I've grown the species from seed as well as one named 'Screaming Yellow' but the plants haven't matured enough to bloom yet so the jury's still out on whether they bloom true from seed. My mature named cultivars all form seed pods.
