| The only one I know of is the one in Holland MI and that's because I used to live only an hour away from there. Also, when I was in high school, our band marched in the parade, the hottest, longest five miles (I think it was) in my life. Karen |

| Neil Here's a couple of others that have well know tulip festivals: Pella, Iowa (between Iowa City and Des Moines. Home of the Pella window Orange City, Iowa (northwest Iowa). My DH grew up near this town, he said it was pretty cool during the tulip festival. Maybe drive to both since you are in the western suburbs and it is a straight shot west. You don't have to fight rush hour to get around the bend to Michigan. Locally, you might call the village of South Holland Illinois (far south suburbs) and see if they have anything going on too. Lombard - Has the Lilac festival but it has almost as many beds of tulips as it does lilacs blooming at the same time. That one is real close by. |
