These plants are covered with blooms already. This one is called 'Eye Candy'. The blooms have more yellow and orange in Summer.

Mine are purple and spread out to make a mat 3 feet across. I am so happy that they are hardy here in upstate NY. I let it roam wherever it wants, and weed out any seedling weed that grows in it. It only blooms for a few weeks but it is one of the joys of my garden. Right now it's still dormant here!

I am looking at your photo with my mouth open in surprise. Incredible. Any sign of flowers from "Fire Spinner"?
|
Oh pretty! Hot pink/magenta flowers are some of my favorites!

I still have not seen any blooms on any of the "Fire Spinner" plants. They multiplied like mad. If that sucker blooms it will be amazing. I moved one and was shocked at the root system on it. I've been told that the first year "Fire Spinner" establishes deep roots and it should bloom the next. I will definitely post photos if it blooms. I've been told by the hybridizer that Delosperma 'Eye Candy' has now been renamed to Delosperma 'Ruby.'
