Has anyone grown the 'Kit Kat' (nepeta faassenii) catmint? In the photos I've seen it looks like the perfect!! plant! (haha, I know -- that's why I'm asking you Real Gardeners) This is what I like about the photos -- please tell me "true" or "false: It has silvery foliage / It's tough and hardy / It has dark purple blossoms / It's half as tall as Walker's Low, and the Kit Kat doesn't flop / It blooms all summer. What has your experience been? Thanks!

Foliage is a more blue green than silver. The blooms are sort of lighter purple-blue for me. Yes it blooms all summer. Mine is rather short so not really floppy. I trim the width of mine to keep it where I'm not colliding with bees. Bought this one because it can handle a little more winter moisture. I've had it for at least four years now. So far it's the only one I have that doesn't reseed.

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks, pattyw!

Mine did not survive it first winter, disappointingly!

I hadn't heard of "Kit Kat". And yet if I had room I would like to try the "Joanna Reed" catmint. Its description sounds perfect as well.
