Odd problem with Lady's Mantle

Posted by freki 5a (My Page) on

I split my lady's mantle into three last year, & all three spawnlings did very well. This year one of them has started curling its leaves under. The leaves are a healthy colour & the stems are still erect. No sign of insect or pest damage.

Any suggestions?

Have you checked to see if something isn't eating the roots? Sometimes when leaves start acting weird, it's a root problem.

I'll check the roots for grubs & ants.

If it's thermal cycling then it'll probably survive. I'll try a light feed after the frosts.

Thanks!

NEVER fertilize a stressed plant ...

do you force feed sick kids???

let it do its thing.. before you love it to death ...

that's why I'll feed it very lightly next month, after the thermal cycling stresses are done, & not heavily right now. :-) If it still looks sick I'll forgo the feed.

I checked.. nothing seems to be wrong with the roots: no grubs, other nibblers, or mushiness.
