Hi all - I KNOW you will be able to answer this:

What is the flower that looks like a small gladiolous - the leaves are not as long as the gladiolous and are thicker - I have seen this most often in a bright orange/red color.

Is it Crocosmia?

RE: HELP - Similar looking flower

When does it bloom? Early, mid-season, late?

Crocosmia is a late-season bloomer in Z6.

RE: HELP - Similar looking flower

Does it look similar to this?
This is Crocosmia Lucifer, which is possibly the biggest and brashest crocosmia.
