i have never actually gotten one to live over a MI winter.. so i wish you luck ...

if fully dormant.. there is no reason NOT to move anything right now ... i like to say.. a dormant plant wont even know ....

but at my old house.. i had a large area across the whole yard.. that was under water for a week at snow thaw time.. nothing died for such ... and as soon as the ground thawed sufficiently it drained away .. again.. dormant plants ...

so if it dies.. i am not sure the water would have been an issue ... but if you want to move it.. go for it ...

Likes it moist but not wet, if it doesn't come back this spring you will know what happened.

Well it has some green coming up already(maybe barely 1/4")! So once i realized it was definitely coming back i wa excited but then worried because if i leave it, it will be apending a lot more time in the wet spot than it sid before winter until i am ready to move it. The ground is still pretty wet everywhre else, (used the "baseball" method, could play a game with what i have lol!) so i think iill move it to be safe.. Ad if it gets a little sad, itll at least have a drier spot to perk up about? Thank you so much for your input!!

And i mean to say, im worried about the upcoming rainy season, the spot its in is a bit lower so i have no doubt it will be swimming until i have the front garden ready for it, weighing my options, im probably better risking moving it early than leaving it in a flooding area? Ken, im sorry you havent had any come back! They are so beautiful! I was ecstatic to see the tiny bit if green popping up, i couldnt stop thinking about it all this loooong winter, wondering how it was faring!

i should have said.. the foo foo ones never came back ... the more exquisite the less hardy ... i planted them for a few years.. as annuals ....

but i still enjoy the annual ... larkspur.. good enough ... for me .. such a blue ....
