Helping identify plant--euphorbia?

I'm trying to find the identity of the plant in the attached. I've found it in a rock garden at our new home.

Is it possibly euphorbia (spurge)?

The joys of "inheriting" someone else's garden--surprises around every turn....

Looks like Euphorbia polychroma (cushion spurge) to me. Give it another couple days to open and show that eye popping chartruse yellow and there will be no doubt.
