No, I will not be seduced. I will NOT...

Creeping charlie has reached new levels of flirtation, or should I say, attack. Here he is, boldly dancing through my Firecracker Loosestrife like I've never seen before. Looks like he has finally taken over this entire bed.. and as pretty as it looks, I still hate him.

yes, but how satisfying, yanking long skeins of this (and gallium) from their minuscule anchor points, knowing murder is so......final.
Between this, bindweed (a far nastier strangling thug) and the wild oats which manage to penetrate the centre of every single plant, the entirety of my summer feels as though I am spending it on my knees.

There is always moving to the Sahara. No weeding there. For me it is cockle burr, or some low growing invasive clover with burrs. Good for the soil but hurts my bare feet. Also milk vetch, scotch thistle and yellow star thistle. I need to take out my sharpened hoe.

I will take creeping charlie over lily of the valley any day. I don't think I'll ever be rid of it.

I have both Creeping Charlie and Lily of the Valley. Neither particularly bother me, which tells me that I don't have a terrible case of either. Thank goodness.

What interests me more from your picture is that I think I also have Firecracker Loosestrife. I'm pretty sure that I've been "weeding it out" not knowing what it was. You obviously like it. I'm inclined to let some grow this year.

Problems with spreading?

That is what is growing in my backyard! Thx! I do not mind, though (but, it is not a huge problem compared to English ivy....yuck!).

Bluebird, Firecracker is lovely, has little yellow flowers later on. But it's rather aggressive. I started with 3 stems of it about 3 years ago and every year I have to pull up quite a bit of it!
