| This was a new sedum I added last year, so my plant is still only about 6 inches across. I've been finding really tiny plants quite some distance from the mother plant. They are most definitely this plant since the foliage color is so distinctive. It almost looks like someone (or thing) pinched the tips off the plant and scattered them around the garden where they are now growing. I can only assume these are seedlings? Trust me, I'm not complaining since I love this plant so much, but is this a safe assumption on my part?

Hi Kevin, I have 'Angelina' in a pot on the edge of a mulched sitting area and there is a circle of little plantlets surrounding the pot that have grown in the mulch, despite having landscape fabric under the mulch. I am not seeing them any distance from the pot though. Not sure if it is reseeding or little pieces have dropped and rooted. I'm also happy to have more.

I guess the obvious question is did you see it flower? Mine rarely flowers yet I still have many little bits that pop up and turn into new plants. It's a brittle plant and this seems to work out real good as far as spreading it along. I also love it!

Kato - That's a good question. I guess I don't remember it flowering, but that doesn't mean it didn't. If it did flower, they must not have impressed me all that much. Prairiemoon - Yup. Same here. Some of the tiny plants are growing in the pathways which have landscape fabric beneath and straw on top. Kevin

I have a little 3' x 2' clump of Angelina that started from a 3 inch pot 4 years ago. It does send up 3 or 4 inch stalks rising above the foliage that are topped by small yellow flowers. I am guessing by the tiny starts of bright yellow/green in the surrounding area, that these stalks can disperse their seeds a good 2 feet.

These also break easily. They take root where ever they land.
