any veronicas that tolerate almost full shade?

I have a little bed on the other side of my deck that is completely empty and totally shaded by a lilac TREE. I was planning on putting some ferns I've been growing from bareroots as well as a new golden bleeding heart (and possibly transplanting a classic bleeding heart I have in a part sun spot in the yard). Anyway.... I bought some veronica last year, planted in full sun as directed and they instantly crisped up, shriveled, flopped and died. One looked somewhat alive still so I dug it up, stuck it in a pot and... oops... forgot about it. Well, now its coming back and seems to be doing well. I left it in a somewhat shady spot and it seems to be doing okay. I'm not sure on the variety but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in planting veronica in almost full shade.
