| SInce it is the end of May I am afraid to plant the Shasta Daisies that I want (Snow Drop). Unless you would advise that now is fine - when would the optimum time at the end of the summer/early fall be to plant? I did not have much luck planting them last late spring/early summer - got too hot too fast in Greenville, SC and I lost 2 of the 3 I planted - despite my best efforts at appropriate planting, watering etc. Plus the only place I can find them is online - have not ventured into online plant purchasing yet so am even more hesitant. Thanks for any advise! |

| plant them ... its not even June yet ... crikey.. up here in MI.. i havent even planted my tender annuals yet.. and we had a frost last week .. and what.. you think summer is over... lol ... you are worrying too much ... if you can shade them for a few days.. maybe just a lawn chair.. for them to get the roots pumping before blistering sun.. that might help ...even better if you can do it with a little rain or a few cloudy days ... harden them off properly first.. if grown indoors ... ken |
