Identifying shade loving, spreading flowering plant

I took a couple plants from my daughter's house in Katy, TX. They were growing all over her yard, tall plants, similar to hydrangeas, but with single stalk, about 3 - 4 ft tall, producing a single mop head type flower. It blooms slowly, opening from the center, hot pink, to the end of the bloom in lighter pink. These run and multiple freely, are very hardy and come back year after year. I've identified them once, but can't remember the name. Any thoughts? I have photos.

As a guess from your description, it may be Clerodendrom bungei, some times called "Cashmere bouquet". Al
