Japanese Painted Fern late to come up?

Looking for my Japanese Painted Fern and I see 1 or 2 sprigs out of 4-5 plants. Just wondering if yours is up yet? I know they are one of the latest to come up. Is yours up yet?

I agree, these usually are very late to emerge around here, but mine is fully leafed out and has been for some time now. Actually I was kind of surprised to see it this early.

Yep, mine were up a little early this year too but are definitely filled out already for the most part - have a few stragglers that are up and beginning to fill in, but they're definitely on their way.

I think it can depend on the cultivar for these. My regular ones emerged early this year with the warm spring we were having, whereas the 'Regal Red' I added last year were much slower to emerge. You're also in a cooler region, so that may also explain some of the difference.
