Any Pics of Bonfire

I have seen pics in the catalog but does anyone have a pic of it in your garden?

After reading some of the post I am torn where I want to plant now. I am doing a succulent, cactus garden. So the area I was going to plant is dry rocky, sunny, with ground cover succulents and I am thinking of using it as the center piece with the succulents surrounding it.

Would you consider this a nice specimen plant in that situation?

Thank you.

I have several E. Bonfire plants growing in full sun sandy loam where they get no supplemental water but this is only their second year. Of the 5 I planted, all but one came back and only one failed to bloom this year. So far they've stayed smaller than my original cushion spurge which is disappointing given my plan to use them as an edging.

Marquest, I put 2 Bonfires in mid summer last year. They did well and came back nicely this year. I am not sure what to expect now that they are done blooming...will that deep color reappear as it grows? I am surprised that there doesn't seem to be much of that maroon showing now. I will treat these the same as E. Polychroma by cutting back by about half in another week or so. This results in a nice soft shrublike appearance that stays attractive for the rest of the growing season...at least with the Polychroma. If Bonfire behaves the same and regains that color it could become my new favorite perennial!

Thank gazania for the pics and it is great we are both PA so maybe I will get the same results. I wonder why your plant has gone green. The descriptions says this is one that does not lose its color after it blooms.

Why do catalogs lie to you? lol
