| Is there anyone who has both varieties? Can I mix them? I have a bunch of snowmound (also called snow cushion) and some areas didn't take. I can't find anyone who has snowmound right now, but found an online dealer who has little gem. They get about the same height so I was hoping I could fill in with little gem. Are the flowers, height, spread all that different? Thank you! |

| Are you referring to Iberis, essentially a very small shrub? |
|
| lacyvail - yes they are both varieties of Iberis sempervirens, a hardy perennial. I haven't grown Little Gem but it is advertised as being 6 inches tall. Snowmound can be at least double that. My hunch is that they would not match if planted together. Have you tried propagating from your existing Snowmounds? You could try layering some stems if you are prepared to wait a little while. |

| Confused...Snowmound (also called snow cushion) is supposed to get 4-6 inches per Michigan Bulb company website that I ordered it from... Is this false? I bought it specifically because it was a dwarf. :( |
|
| jannemb - I stand corrected. I was thinking of the plants I know which are much bigger. Maybe they're not genuine Snowmounds after all. Apologies. |
