| Thanks. Interesting, Wild Garlic, native wildflower in CT...looks like it's reaching for the light...all these sun-loving plants keep showing up in my shady yard. |
|
| It looks to me like Star of Bethlehem/Ornithogalum umbellatum, a bulb which spreads like a weed. There are some photos on Wikipedia |
|
| I agree, Ornithogalum umbellatum--I hate it!!! |

| I found this growing wild years ago and dug up a bulb. It's not wild garlic (battling those too) nor is it Star of Bethlehem (I have those growing wild in my yard). I can't remember what I strongly suspected what it is. I just know when it was in a large grouping it had a wonder smell. Just enjoy them like I do! |

| turquoisefox - what makes you say it isn't Ornithogalum umbellatum? Certainly looks like it to me. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Ornithogalum umbellatum

| No, it's not too late for this nasty little beast. The few thousand I must have missed after I weeded out the first few thousand are blooming now. They could conceivably choke out kudzu vines. |
|
| I think it is Star of Bethlehem, thanks, the green stripe outside petals is a characteristic of SoB, no pun intended, I think they're cute. |
