 o
Primula ID if possible

Posted by aachenelf z5 Mpls, MN (My Page) on

This plant was given to me a few years ago. It appears very hardy - no winter protection, grows about 8 inches tall. The color is kind of hard to describe, but isn't a true red. On my monitor, the color in this photo appears accurate. Any ideas what it may be?

Thanks

Kevin

Perhaps some P. elatior- hybrid? Not sure about thefoliage, but could fit if other parents were involved

Quite possibly it has no name. As Linaria suggests it looks like a P elatior/veris/vulgaris mixture. Commonly just called Polyanthus.

Here is a link that might be useful: Something similar

OK, thanks. I kind of thought this was the case.
