| That is what I thought at first! The problem is my uncle has these in his garden and he lives in northern Virginia. They are to hardy to be a spider plant I think. |

| Looks like a variegated Carex of some kind to me. It doesn't look like my 'Ice Dance', though. |

| There certainly is a variegated liriope and this looks a lot like it :-) Look at Liriope muscari 'Variegata' or 'Snow Cone', 'Silver Dragon' or 'Silvery Sunproof'. |

| yeah, it REALLY loks like a chlorophytum. There is a variagated ophiogon doing the rounds in the UK (but the leaves are a bit stouter than whatever is in your pot). I would chance my arm on a carex maybe, as they grow rampantly everywhere once introduced nearby. |

| I agree, Liriope spicata 'Silver Dragon' (formerly, Ophiopogen spicatus). It has a tendency to spread more than it's variegated cousins. In my garden (mod moisture, rich well-drained soil, full-sun/part-shade) I found it sent out runners that popped up 1 to 1.5 feet from the main plant. |
