Oh, yeah!!!! I have had silver anouk for several years and it did so well, I bought 5 anouks this year to accent between my foundation shrubs. Expecting a similar show, just can't go wrong with this family of lavenders! They are already looking great!

Just picked one up a Costco up here in the Great White North... Im Z5 so I doubt it'll survive but for $15... I might place one of those shrub winter covers in Dec and see what happens...

Unfortunately splaker, I can pretty much guarantee it won't :-( Spanish lavender, Lavandula stoechas, is one of the least cold tolerant species of lavander and even in my very mild winter climate, can get whacked back in a cold winter.

It would be interesting to see if the two previous posters had managed to keep theirs going but after 6 years in a marginally suitable climate zone, I'd guess not. And it is not a terrifically long lived plant under the best of circumstances.

what if I dig it up and store in a cold cellar or garage?

Mine are blooming now too. I have had mine for 6 years. They do get old and age and cold can be a killer when they are old. This Stoechas is more cold tolerant than the others , I hear. TxRanger grows this variety in Oklahoma. I do grow it easily from cuttings so I keep it expanding that way. I had another variety of L. stoechas that lasted 11 years but a VERY dry winter with hideous cold followed by the great drought of 2011 did kill it. Now I make sure that it gets some winter water if we are in drought. They are Meditereanian so winter water is important and sometimes , I do not get it.
