| I planted from a root with 2 buds a tall fast growing flowering plant. I only have 2 pics of this. One of my root with a pink/red bud and a pic of the plant I got the root from as of 4 days ago.
I hope somebody can ID! Thanks! T.J. |

| My first thought is dogbane, but just a thought... |

| Thanks anitamo! That's it! DO you have any experience with it? I've read it is considered a weed. T.J. |

| I think what I thought was milkweed syriaca (sp) is actually dogbane. I have a growing stand of it way in the back that I've let go for the past two years. It showed up on its own, and if it is dogbane, I'm going to yank it, dig it, destroy it this year. I'm trying to remember what the seed heads looked like, but I'm drawing a blank. I do remember getting the tent caterpillars on them last year, and I've read the dogbanes will get those. So, in answer to your question, that's the only experience I've had with it, and I don't want it to continue. LOL. |

| I think I'm going to move my root w/bud of this plant further away from my other plants as this seems like it may be more invasive. I don't really care how invasive it is on the roadside. If it has noticeable flowers sweet. If it doesn't it will just blend into the forest right behind it. Thanks! |

| It does look like a milkweed of some sort to me. My feeling is that anything that spreads that much I probably don't want in my garden! |
