| Last year, we bought a house with a completely overgrown perennial garden. DH and I have been trying to identify most of these plants in the past weeks since it finally got (slightly) warmer, and we've made progress except for these. Can anyone help ID the circled plants?
I think I know what it is, but I wanted some input from experts. |

| Close-up pics would be helpful in order for folks to accurately ID the plants. Often it's the foliage shape that identifies the plant in the absence of flowers. Other helpful information would include how tall they are and if the foliage is an unusual color or shape (i.e., are the leaves lance-shaped, pointed or rounded), |

| I'm pretty sure davidrt28 is correct after googling it. I thought it might be rattlebox, but after looking at pics of yellow baptisia online, I'm 99% sure that's it. My plants are very thin because they were completely choked by phlox and weeds which had overtaken almost the entire bed. The thinness threw me, but I imagine now what they can look like if they actually get sun. |
