The succulent is purslane. It's an edible. Most people don't grow it for its appearance -- but whether you decide to is up to you.

Yes, it's crabgrass. Pulls more easily while it's still small....

I don't know what your ferny plant is, but it certainly looks promising!

Sometimes GW's software gets a bit too paranoid and assumes you're trying to repeat your prior post (which would be considered spam); if your next post won't go through, simply change the text in the "Subject of Posting" field. That should persuade the software you're not a Bad Guy.

OK probably no one else will do this for you, but I highlighted the grass I can identify. This is just centipede grass or bermuda grass or something. You don't want it in a flower bed.

Thank you all so much, this is a huge help. My loving husband told me it was grass (you know, the one that looks like grass) I guess I had to hear it from the horses mouth :-) my husband also sat down and helped me pull it so I can't complain too much. Here is the other plant I don't know about.

I'm not sure what these are but I do have some growing myself in a bed I made with "wildflower mix" packets. Haha!

A lovely start you have there. There is still crabgrass in there that will be easy to pull if you can get it now. The two plants in front and one to the right side of the center plant. Sort of the second row.

It would be a weird plant for a wildflower mix, but they kinda look like dahlia seedlings.
