My Forget Me Nots didn't bloom

I have the perennial form of FMN in a mostly shady garden under tall pines and oak. I transplanted year-old plants 18 months ago from my previous home. They bloomed nicely last spring, but I only had a few plants. Those reseeded well, and I had many healthy seedlings last summer and fall. This spring, the plants all came back, but only one out of about 50 bloomed. That one bloom stalk was beautiful and lasted for several weeks. The other plants just sat there looking satisfied, but boring. Was I wrong to expect them to bloom this year? If so, that's fine. But if not, I want to move them somewhere they'll be happier. They do get an hour or so of direct sun as the sun comes over the house before it reaches the trees. Any ideas would be welcome.
