helleborus X sahinii - 'Winterbells'

I consider myself fairly immune to nursery hype over this new cultivar or that must-have variety......but all these smugly virtuous ideals are out of the window since casting eyes on this new hybrid between h.niger and our native h.foetidissima. Simple nodding heads, like the pale green hellebores of woodland verges.....but with an irresistible peachy colour. I suspect, like most hybrids, it is sterile - indeed, the supposed length of flowering suggests it can only be propagated vegetatively, so might be a couple of years before I consider getting my hands on one.....but sooner or later, one will be in my basket.
