This is the second season for this geranium in my garden. It is growing so much wider than I was expecting. It is now over 3 feet wide and about 1 foot tall at the highest point. I need to keep trimming the edges to keep it contained. The flower buds are now appearing. I am wondering if GW members have experience with this particular geranium?

I don't grow this cultivar, but I do grow the straight species. It is also a wide and low grower for me. In fact, I see it listed in some books as a good ground cover. I have to agree! Mine has been blooming for past 2 weeks. Flowers are small but charming, not really producing much of a show in the garden, but they are good for attracting bees. And the foliage is quietly beautiful. All in all, it is a nice geranium. Not spectacular like 'Rozanne' or 'Orion', but very charming in its own simple way.

Thanks for that info ispahan. You and I seem to have lots of plants in common!

I too grow the species, and in the fall the foliage turns amazing colors.

UPDATE I just dug out both and am passing them along to friends. They spread much further than I expected based on their description; and not enough flowers to offset the significant amount of foliage.
