Kevin, what a coincidence as I was *just* about to post about my "Zweiweltenkind". You had recommended it last year in some other thread about other Aruncus. By that time I had bought two "Horatio" (but picked up one "Zweiweltenkind" later that summer). But I can tell you that as of right now that I do like my "Zweiweltenkind" much better. (All three planted last year). The lighter foliage really pops. If I could do a redo I would planted at most one "Horatio" and so 2 of the "Zweiweltenkind"!

Wow, it looks so happy in full sun! Does it need supplemental water there?

I just planted two 'Noble Spirits' -- they are adorable.

Aruncus is a cast iron plant - I had one that self seeded right at the fence line. My husband hacked it down last year and this year, you would have never known it was ever touched.

Here is my one year old "Zweiweltenkind" i had planted last summer. It is showing its promise even this season.(It experiences lots of shade).

That's nice and you're correct about the lighter foliage. Even after the flowers are gone (which is kind of quickly), the foliage provides a nice contrast in the garden.

The only thing I don't like about Aruncus in general is how quickly the flowers turn from milky white to dirty brown. I usually chop them pretty quickly when that starts to happen.

:( seeing your post had me looking for my dwarf aruncus, sadly it has disappeared.

Interestingly, I've been thinking of moving my 20 aruncus from the shade of the back fence to a sunnier property-line border in the front. I really like the flowers and the leaves.

I would love to see some pictures of that mass planting.
