| I bought 2 Bougies that came in 2 1/2 pots. I was told by the seller to repot them in a size larger ...4" pots. I did and now I am watching it grow fast, so how does one tell to put it into its permanent pot? It will not be grown in the ground...and what would be the next hanging basket size from a 4"? Anyone? BTW, i couldn't find a forum exclusively for Bougies, but the fact that they are perennials made me enter it here. |

| I have researched these having 2 myself (overwintered them). I needed to repot mine as they did not do well last year. They like humus/manure I found out, and like to be root bound. If you are ok with the pot they are in then just leave them. If not then just carefully repot without disturbing the roots. Mine have really taken off with the new soil and are now starting to bloom :) Love this plant!!! |
