spiderwort - what's going on?

Hi everyone, I was hoping one of you experts out there could diagnose my new spiderwort. I just bought this plant a couple of weeks ago and it had one yellow spot on a leaf, which didn't seem to be a big deal. Since planting it, though, it has become covered with the spots. It looks almost like rust except I don't see anything actually on the leaf or under it, like I have seen "rust pustules" on hollyhocks etc. It's the leaf itself turning yellow. It's in pretty much full sun in a site that stays wet but the soil is not heavy. I've looked all over the web and most people say this a trouble-free plant, so what's the deal with mine? Any advice would be appreciated!
