Please help, Chrysanthemum Crisis

Hey everyone. So this is a big old Garden Chrysanthemum (thanks, "Name that Plant" thread). Just behind it is a bed of irises that I divided yesterday and plan to re-plant...yes thats right, behind the mums (this is how they were orignally planted by the former owner of the home and I have nowhere else to go with any of this stuff).

I could do some rearranging and move the Mums to the back. There they will still have unimpeded sun themselves, but wont be blocking the sun for my new iris divisions. So this means I'd have to dig the whole thing up. What do you guys think?

Does this plant look as though its in dire need of being divided? If so, it might be a great opportunity to just move it and divide it now. Or would it be better for me to just try to move the whole thing wholesale? How about just cutting it down to give those irises some more sun without moving it at all? Ideas? Thoughts?
