Kind of like a turbo-charged Californian Poppy, I sowed a handful of these from an old seed trade. Wondering what to do with them now though since the Cali poppies are a (charming) weed all over the allotment. I do have exactly 3 tiny roemeria hybrida seedlings (violet poppy, also new to me) - wondering about planting these together.
I have history with poppies, growing far too many which then stay with me forever - currently, I am regretting the huge swathe of papaver spicata (which I mistakenly thought was P. rupifragum var.atlanticum (a much neater plant)...as well as far too many enormous oriental poppies which look fabulous for a week in late May. Should I pass these on or take a chance and add to the immortal poppy chaos?
