| We have an opportunity to move plants from a friend's yard to ours. We are trying to identify many of the plants. Can you help? Here are a few photos. Some could be weeds, it has been untended for a long time. We live in Southcentral Wisconsin. |

| The first one looks like Oenothera speciosa, aka Showy Evening Primrose. |

| 1) Agree with CPG - Oenothera, evening primrsoe. 2) Sweet woodruff, Galium odoratum 3) not a clue!! |
| I agree with the other two posters for pics 1 & 2, the 3rd pic is unknown to me as well. You might try the name that plant forum to see if anyone there can identify. Flora |
| The third picture might be pokeweed, phytolacca americana. Perhaps do a google about pokeweed to look at some descriptions and photos. |
| I agree with franeli about the pokeweed which is a weed with a hefty taproot that is difficult to get rid of. If you have little kids you definitely don't want this plant as it has quite pretty berries with toxic seeds (along with other plant parts) when eaten. |

| Thank you all so much! I did google pokeweed and it looks similar but not quite the same. We will probably just leave that one where it is. |
| Yup, pretty sure that 3rd one is Pokeweed. This will be confirmed when the flowers are replaced by purple-black berries in a short while. I'd pull it. jimmy |

| pokeweed ..is one of the most horribly invasive seedling plants in my garden ... and hardcore perennial.. if you dont kill them young ... i must kill about a thousand per year ... and the only way to kill the taproot is with roundup ... if you break and leave any root ... which means digging doenst really work ..... it will be back ... its root system.. can make horseradish roots look puny ... check out the link for comparison ... a pic of the whole plant.. will probably get you a proper ID ... as you seem not sure of the suggestions ... ken |
